Here are your aftercare instructions. Following these steps will help your tattoo heal properly and keep it looking its best.

1. Wash your hands before touching your tattoo at any time.

2. Remove the bandage within a few hours, or as instructed by your artist.

3. Gently wash the tattoo with a mild, fragrance-free antibacterial soap and lukewarm water. Use only your fingertips — no washcloths or scrubbing. Pat dry with a clean paper towel or let it air dry.

4. Apply a thin layer of tattoo approved ointment once the tattoo is clean and dry. A little goes a long way — you do not want it greasy.

5. Repeat this process 2-3 times a day for the first week or two. Keep it moisturized but not overdone.

6. Stay out of direct sunlight while healing.

7. Do not soak the tattoo in water. No pools, hot tubs, or baths. Quick showers only.

8. Do not pick, scratch, or peel the tattoo. Let it heal on its own to avoid scarring or ink loss.

9. Wear loose, soft clothing over the tattoo to avoid irritation from friction.

Signs of Infection — Watch for:

- Increased redness, swelling, or warmth around the tattoo

- Persistent pain or discharge/pus

If you notice any of these, contact a healthcare provider right away.

Seek medical attention immediately if you experience difficulty breathing or swelling of the face or throat, as this may be a severe allergic reaction.

Any concerns about healing or unusual changes should be brought up with your artist or a medical professional.
